  1. Huh? Didn't you already ask this question.  I already gave you my answer.

  2. lunch- Bologna sandwich, macaroni and cheese

    breakfast- pop tarts, cereal,eggs, pancakes,doughnuts

  3. It's hard to say as all 7 year olds are different. Some are very adventurous and will eat all sorts, whilst others are really picky & afraid to try anything new, and all are just like us in that they have a few things they really dislike and others they love. Ask her mum what she likes to get a few ideas to start with, and of course ask your niece herself, but do try to introduce her to a few new things as well (especially if she doesn't normally eat healthily). Remember that even if she won't eat something at home she might try it at your house.

A good way to get her to try new things is to involve her with making them, or to lay out a wide selection of things on the table and both of you pick and choose the things you want (this could be salads, tapas/antipasto kinds of dishes, making your own sandwiches etc). Forcing a kid to eat something is not a good idea, but encouragement and even a little bribery (i.e. "if you eat this you can have a treat afterwards") works wonders!

The mistake a lot of adults make is thinking that kids should eat "kids food". If that's all your niece is used to eating at home then you might have more trouble getting her to try anything else, but really, kids can surprise you with the things they will eat. People are often shocked that my daughter loves olives, and I know a lot of adults would never even think to give a small child an olive, they'd just assume they wouldn't like it. My kids also really like curry (not too spicy, but probably more than some kids would like) and lots of things some people never think to feed to kids!

Kids will often like a food prepared in one way, but not another. My son likes raw mushrooms, but not cooked, and they both like raw tofu but not cooked. I didn't like beetroot as a child but I loved my mum's borscht (beetroot soup).

If you're looking after her all day then you'll have plenty of time to experiment to see what she likes. Maybe even take her shopping and let her choose (avoid the sweets aisle though!), taking the time to show her things she might not have come across before, like some of the less common fruit & veg. Look through some cookery books (or recipe websites) with her (especially one with lots of yummy looking pictures) and find some dishes that you both like the look of. Maybe even watch some cookery programs on TV together?!

If she's "a big eater", fill her up with starchy foods like bread, pasta, potatoes & rice. A good tactic is to feed them the healthiest stuff first & save the filling things for afterwards, so perhaps start with something salady (raw veg sticks and a tasty dip often go down well, or a salad arranged into a picture (for some reason kids will be so much happier with a salad in the shape of a smiley face or something!) then have something more substantial like a plate of pasta and sauce.

  4. ask her what she wants

  5. Lunch- PB and J, ramen noodles( maybe too much salt), are a couple ideas

    Breakfast-cereal, pancakes.

Or yuo could just ask them what they like to eat. That will give suggestions or what to make/not make.

  6. fast food,fruit,cereal,,juice,hotdogs,hamburg... things.

  7. cereal, pancakes, muffins, peanut butter toast, banana or other fruit, grilled cheese, ...

what do YOU like to eat that is healthy?  ask the 7 year old what they eat.

  8. lunch: sandwich brekafast cereal pankakes

  9. why not ask the child's MOTHER what she would feed the child....that's probably the best solution

  10. this is generally what my 8 yo eats

    breakfast

    eggs

    toast

    fruit

    cereal

    eggo waffles

    pancakes

    muffins

    lunch

sandwiches (tuna, pb&j, ham and chesse, ect)

    mac and cheese

    hot dogs

    chicken fingers

    veggies and dip

    fruits

    pizza

  11. Breakfast: Cereal and Banana

    Lunch: PB&J and an Apple

  12. Personal pizzas

Almost all kids love pizza. These mini-pies take only a few minutes to prepare. Slice an English muffin, spread a heaping tablespoon of spaghetti sauce on each piece, and sprinkle each with a tablespoon of cheese. If your kid is a vegetable lover (lucky you), put a few slices of her favorite veggie on top. Bake in the toaster oven until the cheese melts slightly. Slice an apple and let her dunk it in peanut butter. Chocolate milk or juice is good, water is best.
