What to feed a Pug that poos 3 or 4 times a day?

I have a 2yr old Pug that poops everytime you walk him. He eats Nutro{Lamb and Rice}, no table scraps. Is there something that would be better so he doesn't p**p so much?

My pom probably goes to the bathroom about 4 times a day.  He eats Nutro Small Bites (I think it also might be the Lamb and Rice, it's a bright green bag).  Nutro is suppose to be a good brand for dogs and my dog eats a lil less than your dog (my dog is only 7lbs).  The fact is that when they are active (going for a walk, playing, etc) their metabolism speeds up and they go more often.  I've heard that this is true especially for smaller dogs.  Good Luck with your cute lil pug! :o)  Still, if something is still bugging you about it, just give your vet a ring and ask if it will put your mind at ease :o)

It is good that he poops so much. It means he is clearing out his system. If he has diarrhea call the vet and they should be able to tell you what to do.

I feed Canidae All Life Stages. It has no fillers (which causes excess defication), no artificial preservatives and no by-products.

Um, I'd suggest calling a vet and telling them how often he goes as that doesn't sound quite normal... They will tell you a better diet and any more details. But walking him will loosen his bowels naturally making it easier to go to the bathroom. But getting it out of his system and calling in for a better diet is your best bet.

Thats fine! My pups p**p that much, and it means there digestive track is doing fine.

Make him eat Iams.He will not just be a pug,he will be an Iams pug!

Maybe if you just cut back on how much he eats.
