What to feed a person with broken jaw?

My friend is comming to stay with my fiance and i for the weekend and he is recovering from surgery from a broken jaw? he finds it sore to chew on things too much...what should I cook him that will be yummy and soft?

  1. Anything soft, mash potato etc veg cooked well nothing to chewy like steak


  2. something soft that they don't have to chew. but as time goes by an his jaw heals, gradually start feeding him chewy objects. feed him anything u can think of thats not that chewy. or even take foods he likes and put it in a blender.  

  3. Lipton Chicken Noodle w/out the chicken ( they make it with just the broth)

    Ramen - either with noodles or just the flavorings in the water (cook it with the noodles, then drain)

    jello/pudding

    ice cream

    just dissolve bullion in 8 or 10 oz of boiling water - quite filling

    mashed potatoes and gravy

  4. ice cream/ smoothie

  5. Ask him if there is anything he wants and can have.

  6. soup,pudding,etc.
