My son eats rice cereal and pureed baby food. He has tried toast cut in strips and enjoys feeding himself while we eat. What other things can he feed himself that are easily dissolved?

  1. baked cinnamon carrots, fish cut in strips breaded and baked, steamed asparagus, steamed broccoli, steamed zucchini, steamed squash, cheese cut in long thin strips, pancakes mixed with fruit cut in strips, baked apples or pears, pasta, mac and cheese (you can make it homemade and put some pureed veggies in it), mashed potatoes, sweet mashed potatoes, green peas, corn, stuffed shells, bananas cut up, peaches cut up, avocado, etc.

  2. The first finger foods we gave my daughter were cheerios (they have a hole in the middle so even though they don't dissolve super-quick, the airway won't be blocked). Then we tried small pieces of banana, toast, and teething biscuits (baby mum-mums dissolve really quickly). She did really well, so we quickly added more and more foods, and by 8 months she wouldn't eat her baby food anymore! Good luck!

  3. At 7 months my daughter was eating mostly whatever we ate.

  4. finger food, Gerber's, they have yogurt for baby[ yo baby]. juice smash potato's

  5. Cheerios. :)

My daughter loved canned mixed veggies and they are small and squishy.
