  1. "Wish you were here" is a good start.

    "Having a great time"

    "You should see this place!"

  2. I've never enjoyed receiving post cards. To me it says "I'm on vacation, you're not. Haha." If someone really wanted to know how your vacation was going they would call. If you want to spend money on your friends, but they a small gift that does NOT say your destinations name on it. Like bring back some food that is a local specialty... macadamia nuts or some fancy chocolate.

  3. You can say " Missing you here."

''What's up with your life back at the hood''

  4. Think of postcards as paper e-mails.

No more than one or two lines, like "Hey, thinking of you. This place is really cool."

It's ok to use a nickname, but you need to sign it, so people will know who sent it.

Be sure, though, to address the postcard carefully, including zip code, and to put sufficient postage on it.

  5. I fill every space up with what I am experiencing, the weather, the food, the people, the scenery, what is good or bad. A mini letter -why not? - the stamp is not cheap!

  6. I would start out telling them how you are enjoying your vaca and how the weather is , what you have seen. Just put down the positive about the trip so far and what you plan on doing next. Miss ya, thinking of you, see ya soon, this sort of stuff. Don't let people fool you, to take the time and buy a card, take time to write it , find stamps and mail it, they will appreciate it.

    Have fun!
