What to get for a niece on her 6th birthday?

Actually she's my cousin's daughter. Her parents are well-off. She has lots of expensive stuff already. She's a sensitive quiet little girl, who loves cats and can draw like crazy.

When my niece had her 6th birthday I sent her a bouquet of flowers that were arranged in an age appropriate way. She loved them and it made her feel very special.

Now I take my nieces and nephews out to lunch and then let them pick something they want for their birthday (as long as mom and dad approved of it) and if they didn't there would be exchanges made.

With sensitive children it may be nice for her to have one on one time with you and not have to "share with siblings" if there are any.

If you are up to spend a little bit more of moola , go to limited too , and get her a cute little outfit and a webkin( if she is a computer lover!) Is she learning to read? Find out what she likes and get her some books related to that thing. My son is 6 and he LOVES books.

What is she into? If she is into history, het her a really nice children's book on Egypt. They have some great ones with flaps and textures...

If she's into Hannah Montana and Bratz, DON'T get her that stuff!

If she's into animals, get her a book about an animal she may not know a lot about

Other good gifts are cookbooks with healthy children's recipes and some of the ingredients she'd need, or something to get her active like a basketball
