It's my boyfriend's sister's wedding, and I wanted to get her something from me and my boyfriend, but he doesn't have any suggestions either.

What's something (not too expensive) that I can get for her (and the husband possibly) that mostly anyone would like?

  1. What is on the gift list?  Nice picture frame is cool.

  2. I would say find out if they have a gift registry. Otherwise, gift cards are always useful b/c then they can purchase something that they like.

I always find that a nice set of wine glasses are a nice gift too.

  3. If she has a registry, buy from there.

  4. Either choose something from her registry or give money.

  5. A gift card to a store they are registered at.  I got several gift cards and they were great.  I could go to the store and get what I really wanted.

  6. Money... no one can ask for it but it's what we all want!!!

50 bucks from the both of you!

  7. If she has a registry (ask around, she probably does), then purchase something from that. Couples typically register for stuff that's in all price ranged. For example, we registered for appetizer plates that were $3 each, and some small kitchen things like measuring spoons, cups, utensils, etc. Couples go out of their way to create registries for their guests, so it would be nice to stick with it.

On the off chance she doesn't have a registry, get her and her future husband a date night. Movie theater tickets, and a restaurant gift certificate. Include a note that says, "Your first date as a married couple are on us."

The average amount to spend on a wedding gift is $100, but that's, of course, not at all required. Do what you can afford, make it meaningful, and it'll be great.

  8. If you can't find the right gift maybe you can offer to help with something for the wedding.  Sometimes giving up you time is worth more than a gift.  I would also give then money on the day of the wedding, but I think they would appreciate the help.

  9. I think you should give the wedding couple something memorable from the heart. Custom handmade figurine is a unique gift for everyone!

I would highly recommend you visit http://aweddinggiftidea.com

Their professional artists will make a wonderful figurine of them. I sent them my favorite pictures of my sister and they made incredible "mini-me". That was awesome! My sister was very, very touched and pleased when I gave it to her as wedding gift.

  10. Either a gift card to Home depot so they can buy something for the house.

A gift certificate to a nice restaurant!

A crystal ice bucket with a nice bottle of champagne and 2 champagne glasses. Sometimes you can find them that say BRIDE AND GROOM!

If you go to a store that engraves:( we have THINGS REMEMBERED) Or look on line and find a personalized gift like a wedding clock(with wedding vows on it and their wedding date) or a wedding quilt! If you look on line, it will give you lots of ideas. That's what I did for my maid of honor (my best friend) when she got married! I like personalized gifts because it's personal and they will always remember you and their wedding day!   GOOD LUCK!!!
