My friend is going to Australia. What should I ask him to bring for me, what I can not get in America??? I love animals, adventure and art. And the item should not be over $50-60 (US dollars).

  1. Ahh..was about to suggest Didgerdoo but it's abit out of your budget :-)

    I shall suggest:

    - Boomerang

    - Vegemite (need an acquaired taste) - it's a toast spread

    - Aboriginal paintings (you might be able to get the small one due to your budget)

    - Australia's cork hat (the wine corks are hung around the hat to keep the flies away from your face as you move your head :-) )

    - Opal (it's one of the precious stone from Australia)

    - Crocodile tooth

    - Tasmanian wooden crafts/bowls made from Tasmanian wood

    - Australian shiraz

    - Ugg boots

  2. Digereedoo, boomerang, aboriginal art.  Ooo.  Yeah. Aboriginal art...(.(..(............

  3. a culturally unique, but fun gift, might be a handcrafted  aborigine boomarang.  make sure your friend picks it up in the city, not at the airport, so it can be authenticated by the local craftsperson.  cheers

  4. A couple of cases of Fosters(although they dont like too many of them leaving the country)

  5. I would say a jar of Vegemite but I'm not sure if the airport people will let your friend bring it back with him. Are you looking for souvenir type stuff?

    This website has some things but they're a bit expensive;

    You like art so you'll probably enjoy a boomerang with some aboriginal art painted on it.

    If you like a bit of humour.. we have things like croc or kangaroo paw back-scratchers, kangaroo s*****m bottle openers, s*****m keyrings.

  6. you can get coin holders made from kangaroo balls.  not sure why you would want it, but i'm sure you can't get one in the states.  another great aussie invention is a stubby holder.  it's a beer holder that keeps your beer cold and good when you're out in the garden.
