  1. Why don't you pop into an Irish themed pub & check out their menu?

Boys love greeny slime looking stuff, so put green food colouring in everything.

  2. Here in the States, we frost brownies with mint-flavored icing colored with a little green food coloring. (Are you familiar with brownies in Australia?) Cupcakes with green-tinted frosting are also popular.

Some people make Irish candy "potatoes" (they do look like little potatoes):

This could be something the kids could make and eat at the party.

    For punch, try:

    2 2L bottles lemon-lime soda

    2 cans pineapple juice

    1 gallon lime sherbet

Buy a green tinsel wig online for your son. I think they look so cute on kids and are fun. Also green bandannas for the guests, or green-framed plastic sunglasses.

  3. use green food colouring to dye food, chocolate coins, chocolate potatoes which you can buy at hawkinsbazar.com.

Coke with vanilla scoop on top and call it Guinness. Limeade and call it green beer. Apple juice.

You could make a pot of Irish stew and add a little stout and serve with baked potatoes.

Cucumber, green pepper, celery cut in to sticks and served with guacamole.

Green fruit salad - apples, kiwi, grapes, melon add a little lime juice to keep apple from going brown.

Crisps in green packets, green olives. Cucumber sandwiches cut out in the shape of a shamrock, I'm sure you'll be able to find a shamrock cookie cutter from eBay or something like that.

Breadsticks dipped into green icing and add sprinkles.

  4. You'll probably go the Shamrocks and Leprechauns route. Pots of gold, chocolate coins and such.

Food wise get a big hunk of Salmon, some mashed potatoes and some green beans, carrots, parsley and some parsley sauce.

This might not suit the kids though so probably chips and cocktail sausages with ketchup.

    Ice cream for dessert.

A harp or shamrock cake is a good touch but brack is more Irish.

Some Guinness for adults when the kiddies go to bed! ;-)

  5. Potatoes cooked with the skin on.

  6. irish eat alot of stew and potatoes

    yuck

  7. go green!make a shamrock shaped cake(or buy one)
