What to include in letter of invitation inviting a friend to canada?

i am from pakistan, studying in the uk,

my proposed life partner is canadian citizen, her family wants me to visit them in canada. canadian embassy has condition to provide them a notarized invitation letter,if you are applying a visitor visa,

i asked her family but they do not know what exactly it is, and what to include in that letter,

is there anyone who knows exactly what it is, and what is a notarized letter, how to get it done, and from where in canada?

if possible could you pls give me a weblink to see a sample of that letter so i can show them, what do i need?
