What to look for on a car that has been tampered with?

I had a slight altercation with someone at work, and they basically told me I better "watch my car". I am assuming they meant they could do something to it, that could possibly cause some sort of accidnet. I don't know a whole lot about cars, so I'm not sure what could be done quickly and easily, like in the parking lot. What kind of stuff should I look for, and what kind of damage can be done quickly and easily. I don't really think she knows a lot about cars either (although a boyfriend might), so I don't think it could be anything TOO complicated...

  1. SLASHED OR LEAKING TIRES SCRATCHES THAT WEREN'T THERE BEOFE AND UNUSUAL NOISES WHEN U DRIVE

  2. Check your tires your gas cap, check your door locks and check the paint for anything that looks or smells bad, better to just go and wash it.......

  3. Take some scotch tape and put it on the seams of the trunk and the hood and the doors, when someone opens the doors you will be able to see when the tape is separated, put tape where they will not see it close to the hinges.Check under the car for any odd objects, make sure the tailpipe is not plugged.I could tell you other things but your situation has not graduated to that level.

  4. Sugar in gas tank, Cut brake lines,  Water in gas tank, Keyed paint, Acid on paint, s***w up locks, Slashed tires, broken radio antennas etc. Just a few things I've seen in the 16 yrs of being a mechanic.
