What to now about my private renting situation

I am living with my uncle who is 78 years old and ownes his own home, if he dies what are my rights of staying in the property? what documents does he need to sign to say I am able to stay in the property for as long as I whant?

  1. He needs to leave the house in his will to you, If he is renting (Not sure, you said private renting situation, but said he owns it :s ) he needs to add you as a tenant, so you are on the tenancy agreement.  


  2. You will have to discuss this with your uncle and possibly contact a lawyer.

  3. Your uncle will have to bequeth the house to you. If he doesn't and he passes away, then his next of kin can claim the property, but they will have to go to probate to have it done lawfully.

  4. Unless your uncle has left you the house in his will you have no

    rights than any other tenant. As soon as the will is probated the house could be sold and you could be given notice to vacate or the new owner ie whoever inherits the house can ask you to vacate after given proper notice.
