  1. The hospital will provide some diapers, receiving blankets and a gown while she is there.

Pack some diapers, wipes, sleepers, onsie, receiving blankets, blanket.  Pack according to the weather.

  2. List for newborn arrival:=

    Diapers

    Cottons (to clean potty butt)

    Towel

loose fitting with easy opening cloth (keep a pair of  warm cloth)

    blanket

    Plastic sheet

    Safety pins

    Johnson baby soap,shampoo,massage oil,cream.

feeding bottle (atleast one, for incase.... time)

keep some rough cloths( coz newborn usually do potty in green color and it is hard to wash,so just throw. It becomes normal after sometime.)

    At home:-you need

feeding bottle= (atleat two even if you are breastfeeding, it can used for water or so after sometime)

    Tub for bath.

    pram.

If you don't know what the hospital will provide, then it is wise to have all things ready in your bag than to run at end moment.

    Best of luck and congrates.

  3. just make sure you have a carseat for her otherwise they won't let you leave. Other than that what the other people have said is what you should bring ;] good luck

  4. i packed

    2 vests

    2sleep suits

    3 recieving blankets

    3 pair scratch mits

    2 hats

    a jacket/sweater

    and nappies(diapers)

    wipes

    cream

and an outfit to go home in

  5. You should pack more than you actually need, especially in different sizes, ie newborn, 0-3 etc.  You dont know what weight she is going to be!!  You can always take the other size back to the shop afterwards.  Thats what I did!!!

I packed scratch mitts as her nails may be long, a hat as they have to wear one so they keep the heat in (hospitals are very warm for that reason), socks, an all in one babygro, short sleeve vest to wear under the babygro and probably a cardigan.  The type that our nans knit!!!  The hospital will only provide blankets to swaddle her in as they did mine!  You will need to bring nappies, nappy sacks, cotton wool balls and a top and tail bowl (to use with the cotton wool to wipe their bums with warm water), baby wipes are to harsh for their little bums in the first few weeks!  Id also bring a blanket for you to put over her for when she is in the car seat for the journey home!!!

Good luck, I bet youre well excited/nervous!  Ill be thinking of you, I have a little girl who is 7 months now!  Cherish every moment, it goes so quick and remember to take lots of photos as I wished id have taken more!  Little girls are gorgeous!  And try to breastfeed!!!  Its so easy once you both have the hang of it.  Im still doing it now!  Its cheap, better for her and best of all it helps get rid of the baby weight quicker!  I lost 2 stone since birth and its the lightest ive been in years!!!  Best of luck xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  6. pack more than you think you'll need. usually with a c section you'll spend about 3 days in the hospital.

    my hospital provided:

wipes (but they are cloth and you have to wet them), a sleep shirt for baby, a hat, a pacifier, diapers, a thermometer and a bulb syringe.

    You should pack:

wipes ( i didnt like the ones at the hospital) diapers, baby pajamas, a hat, socks, nail clippers, a going home outfit for baby, burp cloths, blankets, a camera, car seat (the hospital has to okay it before you leave), your baby book (if you want them to put her foot prints on the pages)

...and anything else you think you might need. Congratulations!!

  7. Most hospitals provide diapers, wipes, clothing and blankets while the baby is there, and bottles of formula if you aren't going to breastfeed. Although, it's probably best to call the hospital in advance and check since every hospital is different.

So basically all you need to bring for baby is an outfit to go home in (a onesie is probably a good idea). Socks and mittens would probably be a good idea as well. Baby's feet get cold very easily and they scratch themselves often. Bring a receiving blanket and obviously the car-seat. If your carseat has a base, install it before you go to the hospital.

    Best of luck!

  8. I guess it is different depending on where you go to hospital. I took nappies (diapers) and wipes, sleeveless vests, sleep suits (onesies?), hats, scratch mitts, a blanket and smething warm to bring her home in. My hospital provided blankets and stuff to give the babies a bath.

  9. Hi and congratulations! I had a baby four weeks ago and I brought literally his whole nursery and wardrobe! LOL... I didnt use ANY of it!  The only thing I ended up needing was a onsie to bring him home in and a pair of socks to put on his feet, the hospital provided all my diapers, wipes, blankets, hats and anything else he needed, even a pacifier if I wanted it. I think the less you bring the better because its just more to unpack when you get home. :)

  10. The only thing my hospital provided was diapers and wipes for my second.  For my first, it wasn't even that because they used cloth.

    I'd bring:

    Diapers

    Wipes

    Light Blanket

    Outfit

    Socks

    Mittens

They also provided a hat.  You may want to bring a nice outfit in case they do pictures.  With my last, they did nice pictures similar to what they would do in a studio.

ETA:  Let me clarify:  they provided gowns and stuff while he was there, but none to take home.

    Good luck!

  11. Just bring some socks, mittens, a beenie and one of those little blanket they wrap the babies in.  Every hospital provides different things.  It's better to have it and not need it than to be without.

  12. The hospital will provide shirt onesies for the baby while she is there, they will provide diapers, wipes, pacifier if you need one, bottles, and a cap.  If you plan to have a long drive home or plan to go anywhere else after you leave the hospital take an extraoutfit.  But do take socks and blankets for the way home.  Mittens are a waste.  They wont stay on the baby.

  13. Car seat

    Diaper bag w/

    A couple of blankets

    Two diapers

    Travel package of wipes

Some socks (never know the weather)

One extra outfit (you never know when you might need this)
