  1. It is generally dry and hot but it's a comfortable heat because of the dryness and the sea breeze. High temperatures are in the 80's and night temperatures will be in the high 60's low 70's.

So bring light summer clothes with a couple of sweaters and long pants for the cooler nights. Light raingear could be useful too in case there is one or two rainy days while you are there.

The Mediterranean coast is pretty long running from the Italian border to the Spanish border and there may be slight variations. Check this website, it shows you a graph with rainy days (very few) from the 1st to the 31st of the month and a temperature chart (highs and lows). Choose your city and year from 2002 to 2007 to see what weather they had in August.

    Temperature conversion chart:

    15 C = 59 F

    20 C = 68 F

    25 C = 77 F

    30 C = 86 F

    35 C = 95 F

Don't forget your sunglasses and maybe a hat. Other things you might need will depend on what you'll be doing there:

BEACH: sunblock lotion, beach towel, bathing suits, flip flops (+ plastic sandals if you are staying near a rocky/pebble beach instead of a sandy beach) but you will find all these easily along the beach if you forgot something.

HIKING inland: good walking shoes, a knapsack, a sports bottle to carry water.
