im aplying fo a corse in grafic design fundementals and i need a portfolio what should i put in it

  1. First, you need to avoid misspelled words...applying, course, graphic, fundamentals. Nothing turns people off more than those who cannot spell. It makes you look lazy and uneducated. If you have difficulty spelling, find someone who can look over everything and edit for spelling.

    Second, art, drawings, designs, photography. If you do videos, see if you can print a sample of some of the frames. Graphic design is very clean looking so stick with bold, color and strong statements. Put them in a nice portfolio type folder or notebook with the art or copies of the art in plastic coverings. Add a resume with your name, address, phone (contact info), education, a short paragraph on graphic design goals, a list of "jobs". If you don't have jobs, list assignments or project goals you made for yourself. Look professional.

    Show them what you can do, that you are smart, that you have potential, and that you will work hard to learn and succeed.
