  1. well i would definitely go with telling them i was given this shift and was told that that was what id be working.tell them that your mngmnt admitted that they were wrong and that they corrected the problem and that the 7-4 shift is what you will work and not anything else.

u have to take the inititiave cause the open door policy is a lie, u have to take up for yourself in wally.

  2. first be nice...if that does not work be mean...

  3. the only thing you can do is talk to the manager that made your schedule and see if they can work with those hours (I'm assuming you need them because school or something) which you specified in your 'availability' that it is open?  If you have 'open availability' on the paperwork through personnel then he/she would not have been able to schedule you those hours because the computer would not have let them.  SO - you can go into personnel and fill out a new 'availability form' and put that you are only open to work between 7 am & 4 pm.   You should have filled that form out like that when you were hired.

Otherwise welcome to retail!  We don't work bankers hours - and we work holidays, weekends, etc....It's a common misconception of a lot of people to expect weekends, holidays, premium hours at a retail store and that just isn't the case.

  4. WalMart is notorious for switching hours on their employees.  Just explain nights are impossible and if that is all that is available, you will be leaving.  They really do not care.  So start looking for another job.
