What to say to an old roomate???

we're sending a care package kindof thing to my old roomate. we're still good friends, talk all the time on facebook and stuff. and im trying to write a note to her to send in it....and i don't want to just say the usual "we love you, we miss you" that sort of thing. so what are some good things that i could say...please help with writers block!

Just tell her what you are up to these days. Fill her in on your news.

Mention something that's exclusive to your time together. Something funny or exciting that happened while you were roommates!

I'm thinking, since your such good buddies, open the note with a inside joke or something, then just say something like "from all the old crew of the (whatever room your shared, number, dorm etc.) to you, we'd like to just say something significant, but alas, being me, all I can say is that you should use this wisely (or else / and maybe etc.)  - try to tie in someother inside joke here - . With all our love, - sign off  - Perhaps add a few PS.s line "Do you remeber that / I hate to remind you but you're dancing had to be the funniest" sort of thing
