What to say when I want to pay for my meal?

Hi all ! I am quite new to the restaurant manner in UK, and want to ask what to say when I finish the meal and pay for my meal.

Is it just " Excuse me , I want to pay for my meal now." or are there any better and more polite way to suggest?

The best way to do it anywhere in the world is to excuse yourself from the table, get the server and pay for the bill at the desk rather than even asking for it at the table.

This way, there is no question that you are taking care of the tab and it comes as a nice surprise to everyone when the server says the bill "is taken care of".

they might ask how your paying, credit card or cash

In the UK the check is called the Bill. ie bill of fare. Check is what you do when you get it, to make sure it is right.

If the waiter is slow in bringing it, get up and put your coat on. They soon bring the Bill then.

Well I find some  restaurants, after i've finished, they will come to the table and ask if I want anything else, and if not, they usually bring the bill over.  

But if not, just politely make it known you have finished, perhaps just giving them a nice smile, when they go past, or by or putting your jacket on  and they will get the message.

You should try saying:

"HEEEEEEEEEEY!!!!! YOU THERE!!!! ARE YOU DEAF?

COME HERE RIGHT NOW,I WANNA GIVE YOU MONEY!!'

He will be so surprised he will come to you running.Chances are that he won't even ask for money,he will throw you out immediately!!!
