  1. reference how you know about the posting and state you are interested in applying for the job!!!

    1. Identify the person responsible for hiring. If possible always ask for a person by name rather than asking for HR. If an email address was listed within the posting try googleing the email address for a possible match sometimes the email will give it away for you in general.

    2. Always be brief and only call once nothing will set off a flare to the hiring manager more than rambling on or calling repetitively

    3. State the following

    a. Why are you interested within the position

    b. Reiterated something from the posting or ad and why you feel that you embody that

    c. Where you may send your resume if you have not already done so

    d. Thank them for there time and consideration and get off the line

    4. Remember always be polite and leave them wanting more!
