  1. I would suggest on your first day a visit to  Ã¢Â€ÂœLa Venta park”  Museum in the middle of a natural jungle setting, to see the great Olmec Head, Estelaes and Altars ( some over 24 tons ) which represent the “Mother Culture of  Mesoamerica”. The Olmecs.

Also a visit to the beautiful " Lagoon of Illusions".

Finally a visit to the famous Carlos Pellicer Museum to

view the many Olmec and Maya artifacts on display there.

On the second day I would suggest a trip to the ruins of Palenque. One of the most interesting and beautiful archeological sites in all of Mexico

***Try the Restaurant Los Tullpanes in the CICOM complex. They specialize in in comida tabasquena.Fresh seafood on the banks of the Rio Grijalva It's a local favorite, where high cost means high quality, not tourist inspired extortion.Seafood entrees are typically 70-110 pesos.(they also accept major credit cards). Another local favorite is Tacolandia on Aldama

in the Zona Luz. Mouth-watering tacos from 5 pesos.

    Buen Provecho!!

    Have a great trip!
