Question:

What to send in with ps3? + others?

I was wondering if I need to send anything besides the ps3 to Sony. [Wires, controller?] the sheet it came with only showed the system and to only send it but on the website it says wires, etc.

Also, Does sony send you an e-mail when it's coming back because I just got a ups e-mail the 19th [sent it on the 15th to them] saying that it's being shipped to me on the 22ed. So, did they fix it or give me a refurbished one right away and decided to be lazy. :P

This is what the website said

Status Date: Tuesday, August 19, 2008

Status: The unit you are inquiring about was shipped on 8/19/2008. Your UPS tracking number.

sorry this question is all over, just making sure i did everything right.

  1. I did this a month ago

all you have to do is stick the system in the box and send it in. no wires. no controllers. just the system.

  2. You have to send an email to Sony saying what the problem is with your PS3. Once that is done, Sony will send you a package box where you can place your PS3 to send to Sony so they can fix it. When Sony do receive the package, they will send you an email on when they will have it returned to you fixed. All you need to put in the package is just your PS3 without the HDD (hard drive) inside it.

  3. Well you should normally only send the console to sony but if your are having a problem with anything else that came with the ps3(for warranty purpososes) like; controller, ethernet cable, power lead..ect i dont see a problem with sending that in as well.
