The parents will be staying. If I don't do pizza (cuz it will be 200 degrees out) I was going to do hotdogs cut in half and chips and watermelon on sticks. Do kids eat cheese sandwiches? Do you put am cheese and mayo on it? I would do pb&J but one kids has a sever peanut allergy. should I just do some burgers too? Is there any kid thing I could put in a crockpot? My kid hates most real food- like the watermelon or cheese sandwiches so I don't know what your average kid likes.

Geez, should I just get pizza?

  1. my son is the right age.

he will eat pizza til it comes out of his ears!

for snacking, he loves a small dish with some carrot and cucumber in, with a dollop of mayo to dunk them in.

    he loves cheese sandwiches.

    dairylea sandwiches, ham sanwiches.

    crisps.

most kids like melon, grapes, bananas, apples they can be chilled and will refreshing for the hot kids.

what about a bowl with some fruits in and a big scoop of icecream?

kids won't care, they eat most things. especially if other kids are eating it too.

  2. just do hot dogs and chips... then after that just have the cake. at 4 and 5 years old you do not have to cut the hot dogs in half... hot dogs are so cheap there really is no reason to try and spread it out like that. i would not recommend anything with mayo on it/in it if you are having this outside.

  3. keep it simple

    pizza

  4. Mac and Cheese is a big hit. Its cheap and easy to make too. You can also put hot dog or sausage in it.

Also they make fun shaped chicken nuggets

as a side I would not choose seeded watermelon for a party.. it can get messy I would do grapes or catalope or something without seeds.

and other than that most kids like cheeze its, chips or whatever

They make variety packs of pringles which are nice because you can give each kid a little back which are a small serving size right for them and not everyone has to stick their hands in the chips

  5. I did shredded beef sand. and they went over well. Just threw it in the crock pot and let it cook away. Makes it a little easier on you!

  6. your first idea is the best  Yeah, do the hotdogs and melon  dont forget the cake

  7. i think you should have a table for the adults an  a table for the kids so u can seperate the foods like for the adults just do hambergers and hotdogs all alduts like that and mabe some coleslaw or patato salad couse thats a good hot day food and for thekids just have pizza or mac and cheese that may sound weird but almost every kid loves mac and cheese just put it in a big pot and help them surve it. and have lemaned and soda for adults and then if a kid doesnt want mac and cheese just say do you wnat a hotdog or hambergerand then your done (dont forget cake) good luck

    hope i helped

  8. My kids like cheese quesadillas and dipping them in salsa or sour cream.  You could make a nacho bar.

  9. Pizza will be much easier for you. My last kids b-day we did mini corn dogs and french fries and it went over well.

  10. I say pizza but if you don't want to do just pizza many kids love hot dogs. You can also bbq if its warm out. You can serve potatoes cut like french fries or you can do grilled cheese sandwiches

  11. haha, i would go with pizza, but something that you could do depending on the time is just veggie tray w/ dip, fruits, and crackers and cheese, you dont have to do a full out meal really.

    its upto you.

something that i did ,was the hotdog hamburger thing as well.

i dont know about cheese sandwiches, but crackers and cheese is nice,

    pickles, veggies, dip, chips...

just finger foods all placed on a table with plates would be decent

  12. i would do hamburgers and hot dogs w/ chips. or nachos that's what i always do and it hasn't failed yet.
