Kairali stores are Govt undertakings selling a lot of gift items specially made out of 'coconut' trees....you can get lovely Kerala Hand-loom sarees too.

Spices of course. dont forget to get pepper which is especially hot. coir products are yet another choice.

all the best...but plz rembr Kerala is a consumer state..most of the products are introduced from the neighboring states, especially TN...that means you would just be paying extra to the middle men.

All the items listed  by Miha. But don`t  forget to add a few glasses of coconut toddy,with the accompaniment of fish moly in some remote village toddy shop.

You get good spices in all over Kerala, if u touch Trivandrum you could buy spices like cardamom and black pepper from the challai wholesale bazaar, u get thing in a proper rate and better quality there, never buy things in tourist shops, better buy in the market. u get coconut oil and honey allover Kerala.
