What to spend $1000 on?

I have $1000 burning a hole in my pocket and would like to spend it. I'm open to anything and everything.

  1. Umm, me.....LOL!!!


  2. Since it sounds like you don't need anything right now, invest it for a time when you do need the money.  If you have no near term need for it, put it into a Roth IRA.  You can take out your principle without a penalty any time you want and it grows tax free.  You can't get a much better deal from the government.

  3. Save it.  If you don't, a time will come when you wish you did.

    Oh, and if you really cannot figure out what to spend it on and do not wish to save it, any local charity would be more than willing to accept your donation.  If you do not want to give money to a charity that could spend it on goodness-knows-what, mail it to an elderly neighbor you know that lives on a fixed income.  Better yet, break it into $50's and give to even more people.  Make some people smile.
