We will be arriving at the Dublin airport and will be taking the train to Galway. How would we get from the airport to Dublin Heuston? Is there only one train station in Galway? Which one would we be arriving at?

Thanks

  1. There is a designated bus right outside the airport going to Hueston Station. A ticket from Dublin to Galway costs around €50 so have that ready. The trains aren't great on that route but it'll take you around 3 hours to get there.

Once you arrive in Galway (there's only 1 station, small city!) there's taxi's outside and their the best to get as the inner city busses aren't great. Your dead right to pick Galway as it's a nice city with an awesome nightlife.

    enjoy!!

  2. aer arran have one way flights from dublin-galway starting at €29 so you could get a connection from dublin airport and by the time your train would be leaving heuston station you'd probably already have steeped off the plane in Galway

    just a suggestion!

you could get the airlink bus from the airport to busaras which is across from the LUAS  tram station which you could get to heuston station and then get the train to galway, you'll end up spending more this way so i'd advise gettin the aer arran plane to galway straight from dublin airport

it would cut out all the fuss and cost of getting three different modes of transport to Galway

  3. You'll be able to get a link bus from the Airport to Heuston station.  The bus stops at other train stations as well, so ask the driver.

Then get the train to Galway city, there's only one station there, and it's right in the middle of the city. Taxi's outside.
