  1. KBB does not buy and sell cars, but is to be used as a guide. I would think you can get something off. Best way to see what worth is is to use like autotrader.com

Put in exact car, year, submodel and look like in a 100 mile range. Than look for same mileage ( +/- 5000 miles), you will see real fast what going rate is in your neck of the woods. We are heavily discounting suv's cause their is no demand for them. Fuel efficient cars, we are getting our asking price for, or we let them sit til the next person comes in, ( and their are many looking for these now ;)

Looked in my area code, would shoot for like 1000 off asking price and buy it.  Is priced in my zone from 20k down to what you are saying. You can play the ..call me game, but that is one that may not be there if you sit and wait a few days.

  2. Negotiate down to the blue book price of 13420 and don't settle for anything more. If you stay firm they will sell it to you for that price. I bought a 2004 civic lx with 78000 km for about $12300 but the dealer was selling it for $14100.

  3. Of course the dealer will try to make a profit. If i saw the Kelly blue book for 13420 I would tell the dealer. I want that price or Im sorry and then leave. You watch how fast they lock that door to the dealership lol.  Thats also Retail price they guaranteed paid alot less wholesale. So do your home work at diff dealers for another car close, But honestly dont get mad 15 grand for a 58k Honda Civic?  Hondas are great but almost 60 thousand miles on this car.  its not hand made its still a car yes reliable but not worth 15 in my opinion You can prob get an 05 accord lx for that price good luck
