We recently got a new dining room table. It is used in good dhape but it is kind of dull. I tried pledge and it didn't help. Is there a good polish or something to get it to "brighten" up a little?

  1. Orange Oil is a good one, as suggested.

If you don't have that on hand, try Olive Oil.  Pour on in small spots, rub in with cloth, buff to a shine with another cloth.  I just use paper towels.

I do this about once a month on my kitchen table.  It has a nice shine afterwards!

I've also used Vinegar mixed with the oil, but I ran out of Vinegar and haven't bought more.

Here's a site that recommends using Vinegar with oil: http://pollution-control.suite101.com/ar...

  2. I think what I use is called orange glow..... it brightens all my wood furniture and gives it a nice scent too!

  3. To add shine to wooden furniture, rub it with vinegar before polishing...
