  1. All the Gaudi buildings. They are just simply awesome.

  2. Well, some of the Gaudi's buildings ("Casa Batlo"/ "La Pedrera") are worth a visit, but what you shouldn't miss is "La Sagrada Familia" which is awesome. "Parc Guell", is also worth a visit for its architecture and its panoramic view of the city.

Visit the narrow streets of "Barri Gottic", where is the town hall, remnants of a palace and the Cathedral.

Walk along the "Ramblas" and have fun of the "living statues", the open-air tends with flowers, souvenirs and birds, until you reach the end near the sea where stands the monument of Colombus.

There is also a wax museum at the end of Ramblas (7euros), which was pretty.

If you continue straight you'll find "The maremagnum" by the sea at Port Vell. You can have a look at the shops in there and then head for the Aquarium (www.aquariumbcn.com) which is one of the biggest in Europe and has a tunnel through a tank full of fish, includin sharks. I think the 16 euros are worth it!

Near the aquarium, is an IMAX cinema, where you can see an IMAX or a 3D movie. It's 8 euros if i can remeber well.

In front of the Colombus monument, in front of the sea, you can have a ferry boat tour of the coast (www.lasgolondrinas.com).

Don't miss the "Parc de Ciutadella", it's big and beautiful and has some museums. But the best thing to visit is the zoo (www.zoobarcelona.com), which costs about 15 euros. It took me more than 3 hours to see it all.

If you are a football fan, a visit to "Camp Nou", the stadium of Barcelona is nothing but obligatory!

If you have time visit Montjuic and see the "Magic fountain" and the 1992 Olympic games area.

If you travel alone (ie not in a guided tourist group), I suggest you buy a 2 day pass for "Bus Turistic" which has 3 routes and has stops at most interesting places of Barcelona. You can get off any time at a stop and take the next one (those buses pass regurarly). You can find about it at tourist info office at "Placa Catalunya" at the end of Ramblas (at the direction opposite to the sea). Unfortunately there was i strike the time I was at Barcelona, so I bought a 2-day Metro Pass instead.

If i miss something i'll be back to add it!

  3. I agree with Kostas. There is also a really big food market just off Las Ramblas which has every kind of food for sale that you can think of. It's all split into different sections so if you just want fruit you can go to the fruit section or the sweet section if you just want sweets. It's great! Also Montserrat which is an hour outside of the city is well worth the visit. It's an old monastery set high in the cliffs. The views are amazing. Also the shopping is great. There's a great mall at the end of Las Ramblas on the waterfront and it's open until really late.

  4. Don't bother. Africans won't even settle in spain.

  5. Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Lionel Messi
