  1. Sting you!!

  2. They generally commit suicide in my beer if I go into the pub garden.

  3. You should rephrase the question to what do wasps do to benefit humans.

Why should creatures have to do anything other than to be themselves and survive.

  4. Wasps do have a useful role scavenging for the larvae of other insects, controlling garden pests and clearing carcasses early in the season. They even dispose of rotten timber if available.

  5. annoy you ?

  6. They are very useful as their larvae are carnivores-unlike the vegetarian larvae of bees-so the adult wasps spend the spring and summer collecting smaller insects to take back to their nest as 'baby food'.The insects they collect include many garden and agricultural pests such as greenfly.

The adult wasps will also eat nectar so they are useful pollinators of flowers and crops.

  7. waspy things mostly

I love wasps...I think they're beautiful. They evolved from Ants.

  8. very useful predators especially in early spring when smaller insects havnt really got going yet. they will take the first aphids so nipping that little problem in the bud. dont kill wasps in the spring!

the wasps that cause trouble in the autumn are the old workers. the last generation to hatch are the drones and next year's queens; after these have flown off, the hive disbands, and the last few workers get a 'retirement', where they can muck about stealing jam and stinging pesky humans like a gang of 'h***s grannies'. you can kill these ones, they will be dead soon anyway.

  9. Wasps and hornets are predators and/or scavengers.  Some eat dead and rotting vegetation, insects and animals, others actively prey on other insects, some lay eggs on caterpillars which are then eaten by the larvae.

  10. Wasps are an important part of the food chain and not just pests. They are extremely beneficial in the garden as they will eat aphids like they are going out of fashion!

  11. The thing that benefits humankind most is that wasps are major pollinators. Without them, and other nectar loving insects and birds (like bees & hummingbirds) mankind would starve. We depend on their kind so that our food keeps growing.

  12. freak me out

  13. Well, wasps r just living creatures like u and me who enjoy life!

And if u annoy them they sting u, so stop dissing wasps, kapeesh??!!

    Loves X.
