  1. long pants

    thick socks

    and gloves

  2. since its your first lesson unless you're feeling very brave i wouldnt recommend a skating dress, but if you wanted to you could wear one..

you need to wear something that you can move easily in but still keeps you warm, so jeans are not the best choice as they take ages to dry after a slip on wet ice... try track/sweat pants that arent too baggy (i've gotten my toepick somehow caught on my pants so many times lol!).

for a top its best to layer a warm jumper over a lighter top as you will probably warm up quite a lot once you get moving. that way you can take off layers if you get too warm.

gloves are great to have and your hands will thank in falls. thin socks (anything too bulky can cause blisters) or tights should be worn too.

if you are feeling nervous or are worried about falling you could always wear some skating crash pads, or even knee and elbow guards (the same you would use for rollerblading).

its entirely up to you as to what you wear, just remember to pick things that are comfortable, have some stretch (especially for pants) and will keep you warm.

    Happy skating!

  3. many people would say wear thin socks. dont wear thin socks cuz i listen to the people here i got a big blister in my heel. so wear thick socks they will feel more better. only wear thin socks if its your own skates but if its rental skates i just say wear thick skates.and wear a jacket and sweatpants.

  4. Black leggings, with leg warmers in the same color like ure glows(u're gonna need ons) and a long sweeter.

(by long I mean one who covers ur ***).

Have a great time on ur lesson.

  5. well figure skaters usually just wear tights and a skatin dress but since it ur first lesson u shud wear sweat pants a nice warm top and mayb a warm sweater cuz sumtimes a coat is hard 2 move in i been figure skating for 4 years and wear sweats and c wut the other girlz wear it depends also do u skate indoors or outdoors and dnt b afraid 2 fall it is just how u learn a better skater falls more (thtz wut my coach told me cuz if u fall more it means u puttin more work in2 it and not bein afraid 2 do it) GOod luck and most of all have funnn

  6. Don't wear jeans, when you fall and get wet, jeans will hold the water and get very cold. I would suggest wearing a t-shirt with a jacket, exercise type pants, thin nylon or polyester socks, and gloves. Good luck!

  7. Dress warmly!  Wear long pants with some stretch to them.  You'll probably want gloves, too.

  8. lol! I'm glad you are starting skating!

I have been skating for 7 years and on my first day I just wore some sweatpants (not too long) with skating tights underneath them, a long sleeved t-shirt, a nice sweater, A ponytail in your hair, (no dangly earrings), maybe some earwarmers. As you move up in the ice skating world you can start to wear skating dresses, just wear some skating tights (have to be skating tights, you can find them at a dance store, just ask the sales clerk for skating tights) the dress you want to wear, and a sweater! I hope you do great on your first lesson!
