What to wear in New York City for the day?

What would be a good outfit to wear in New York City in Aug? I'm only going for the day, this time. It will be on a Saturday. Keep in mind that I am 16.

A cute T-Shirt, Either Jeans or cute mini shorts, if you have them a comfy pair of cute wedges if not a cute pair of comfy flip flops, a cute bag either a tote or a cute handbag and a big pair of cute sunglasses!

Something cool and black--cute black tee, dark or black jeans, black rim sunglasses, a purse or shopper large enough to hold a bottle of water, red espadrilles or b/w stripe espadrilles, big hoop earrings.  

Black makes you not look like a tourist in Manhattan.
