What to wear in ski resort when not skiing?

I've never been before and now I have to go with my family, please tell me what to buy, like absoloutly every thing necessary

if you come to Tahoe, wear winter gear -hat, long pants, snow boots, gloves, scarf, & jacket.  don't dress to impress.  dress for comfort and warmth.

I suggest sweaters( light and heavy), wool pants or warn jeans/slacks. A nice warm dress for any evenings out you may have.  Warm socks( these are a NECESSITY if you have a tendency for cold feet) or slippers. Some kind of over jacket/sweater you can put on over other clothing if you get chilly. Most of these places have a roaring fire and keep the inside warm as if you were at home. Don't concern yourself over this too much. Dress as if you lived in a cold climate. I would avoid all the worn out comfy clothes. Leave those at home. You want to dress nice but casual.

Layer your clothes so if you do get warm you can shed some. Turtlenecks with a sweater over them are great. Make sure your footwear is warm and comfortable. I bought this great pair of suede boots to wear inside...they are warm and stylish. I can wear them with most apparel.

i live at a resort and i can tell you this .... dress comfy and adaptable. no one cares what you are in. they will take your money if you dress nice or not. a dress for dinner? uh, not.

What should I wear to work today.  I gotta be there in 20 minutes and I just cant figure it out.  

Wait, its cold...I should probably wear something warm.  Kind of like a ski resort.

i just got back from a ski resort by tahoe. we stayed inside the lodge for awhile and its quite warm there. unless you want to go outside. i suggest layers. too hot. take a jacket off or something. too cold. put more on.  :]
