  1. Wear your most comfortable jeans, top, and shoes - I also suggest bringing a sweater or a jacket, since some flights (especially at night) can be a bit chilly.

    Here's a more specific suggestion: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=21577...

You might also want to buy some compression socks - your feet swell a little on long-haul flights and these socks help prevent that by improving the circulation in your legs.

Don't forget to drink plenty of water and bring some travel-sized facial moisturizer; the lack of humidity in airplanes can dry out your skin if you're not careful.

  2. well you cant really predict if its going to be hot or cold. so on top were several layers or bring several layers. were comfortable pants because you will be sitting for a long time! dont were sandals. where tennis shoes and maybe bring slippers if its an over night flight

  3. wear loose clothes, depending on how long your flight is. not tight jeans/sweatpants, classic t-shirt and a sweatshirt would be best

  4. Thats not too long of a light compared to west coast to the Middle East or to Asia. From my personal experience international and domestic flights are not really that much difference as far as what clothing you need. Realistically while flying you should wear something that offers some protection, and not only from the possible cold and heat during the flight. If the plane goes down for some reason, you should have clothing that would allow you to survive. So, if its cold, have a good coat and shoes/boots that offer protection. Jeans arent very good for insulation if the plane is ditched in the ocean... Anyhow, dont want to scare you but most people dont consider those things while flying, except if they are into general aviation...

Most planes offer a throw blanket, but having a light jacket on hand might be best. Its just a matter of figuring out the weather/temp between where you are leaving from and where you are going. Also, in the case your luggage is delayed having a jacket in a chilly Alaska might be wise, and having that miniskirt on might not be ideal...

  5. I eschew fashion in favor of comfort.

Comfortable pants or sweats, layers on top (the cabin can be hot or cold), laced shoes (your feet will swell during flight), slippers to wear during the flight.

  6. If you are flying in warm weather, a long skirt, a tank top and light jacket and shoes that you can slide off. Take a pair of socks to keep your feet warm-they used to give them out, but now, who knows.

You can and should expect most people to be dressed in jeans or very casual (not very appealing). So good for you that you care about your appearance.
