What is the temperature going to be like in the first week of April? I tend to feel very cold easily and would hate to be underdressed for warmth. I live in a warmer clime and not used to the European winters. What do the locals wear in this month, do they still need to wear heavy coats and boots? Or can they make do with light sweaters and sport shoes. What are the expected temperatures like? I believe it was still a cold Easter? Anyone who has visited during this time or ppl living there can please help out.

  1. I'm a little north of Munich, but the predicted forcast for the first half of the week for Munich is the mid to upper 50s (fahrenheit) and partly cloudy. Vienna is supposed to be in the upper 50s to low 60s and partly cloudy. Today it has been really nice and only a light jacket is necessary.  In the sources are the links for the 10 day forecast for Munich and Vienna. I would suggest checking the weather again a little later in the week. The predictions that far out are not always accurate.

  2. shortstuf_2 gave you a good answer.  If you also understand German, you also might check these German weather websites as well:

http://www.wetteronline.de  (my favorite weather website, and very accurate)

    http://www.donnerwetter.de

    http://www.dwd.de

    http://www.wetter.com

    http://www.wetter.de

    http://de.weather.yahoo.com  (Yahoo Germany forecast)

All temperatures are shown in Celsius there!

And also very accurate is the weather forecast at MSN.com - go to http://weather.msn.com/region.aspx?wealo...

Usually, weather is mild and warm in April in Germany and Austria - but weather changes very quickly over here.  It can be mild and very warm today and windy, cold and nasty the other day...Be prepared for everything - even snow! ;-)

    Greetings from Germany...
