I am going to NYC in a few weeks and will be seeing a Broadway show (Wicked! to be exact) with my significant other.
Since we will be flying to NYC space is an issue, we will be spending 10 days and will only be bringing one checked bag and one carry-on each and that has to have all of our clothes and clothes and everything for our 6 month old.
I don't know if we will be seeing a matinée or an evening show, but would like to be dressed appropriately for either.
I was recently pregnant (obviously) and my body has changed so my old pre-pregnancy clothing will not fit. I was thinking a black cocktail style dress with red kitten heels (I am 6 feet tall). Should my significant other wear a full suit? Would nice pants and a sport coat be appropriate?
I know that it is traditional to dress up for the theatre, but when I saw Wicked! here in Cleveland many people were wearing jeans, even for an evening show. Is this considered the standard now?
