  1. Starting with the head:

    black velvet-covered helmet

hair net the same color as your hair

white show shirt with stock collar

    http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp...

conservatively-colored show jacket (dark blue or black, pinstripes are fine- if you get pinstripes, you can wear a show shirt to match the color of the stripes)

    khaki-colored breeches

    http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp...

    brown or black belt

    http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp...

black leather gloves, crochet is okay

    http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp...

black FIELD boots (with laces)- leather or equi-leather

    EDIT:

You don't need a body protector unless you're doing eventing (or if your mom is totally terrified of you falling off).

You don't wear a polo shirt for showing. For schooling in the morning a polo shirt is fine, but you need to wear proper attire in the show ring.

Check with your trainer to find out how serious this show is. If you're hosting a show for a circuit, you need to dress up as I've listed above. If it's just a small show at your barn against other people at the barn, you will more than likely be able to wear the same thing you wear for lessons.

For choosing colors, you don't want to stand out. Keep it conservative. You want to attract the judge's attention by being a good rider matched with a good horse, not a rider in a hot pink jacket with neon half-chaps.

    EDIT:

    Gloves are a MUST!

And your hair cannot be loose- if it's visible at all, it must be contained in the hair net and tucked up into your helmet. The only place you should see hair is on the side of your head in front of your ears.

To put your hair into the net:

Put your hair back so it's laying on your back, behind your shoulders.

Put the hairnet on, stretching it from the front of your head to the back. There will be two knots in the net. The one that lays on your forehead is less bothersome off to the side a little bit.

Pull the hairnet over your ears, trapping hair on top of the ear, covering up the tips of the ears, and pinning your ears to your head. Don't go down all the way to your earlobes, though. Just hold down the tips.

Pull back all of your hair and the net into a ponytail at the base of your skull and wrap it with a hair tie the same color as your hair.

To get the hair into your helmet, bend over forwards and flip your ponytail forwards, so it's lying flat over the top of your head.

Put on your helmet, tucking in the base of the ponytail first into the keeper at the base of the helmet.

Carefully put the helmet on the rest of the way, tucking in any loose strands.

If you're having trouble, have someone help you.

You can even pin your ponytail to your head.

To practice, put your hair into the hairnet and helmet for all of your lessons.

  3. Well, seeming how this is a schooling show.. you don't need to look too fancy..

Also it would help me to answer you better if i knew whether show clothes are required. if they are then you have a lot more to worry about.. if not that don't sweat it.

So really you should wear jodhpurs, and maybe just a tee shirt or a white button up shirt with a collar.

REMEMBER YOUR HELMET!! i always pull my hair back into a low pony tail so my hair sticks out the bottom of the helmet. and you should make sure to include black gloves and tall black boots.

Here are some examples of what i think you should where:

    http://www.saddleupinternational.co.uk/i...

The jodhpurs can be any color as long as they cordinate well with whatever saddle pad you plan to use (ANY saddle pad that looks clean and tidy will work fantastic) and the boots on the far left look the best. normal field boots. the other boots are short boots with half chaps, which really don't look as tidy and professional as the tall boots do.

This is what i mean by a white button up shirt with a collar. it would look the most professional.

These are the gloves i have, and they work wonders!

    GOOD LUCK!

  4. A traditional show jacket (usually blue)

Yur riding helmet (should be velvet or velveteen and always black)

    Lght brown/beige riding pants

Ether black tall boots or paddock boots and leather half chaps

A how blouse (any colour you want)

ALWAYS tie your hair up and put it in a hair net

Gloves are personal preference, if you never ride with gloves, don't just wear them for the show (if you do wear them - black)

Crop is also personal preference: if your horse needs it carry it.

  5. Hi!

Look like you! Wear a hairnet at all times!

Hunter: Beige jodphurs, Black hunter jacket, Long boots, Hat, Polo Shirt, Black gloves, Body Protector.

    http://www.horsequest.co.uk/images/Frase...

    http://www.peeblesridingclub.org.uk/imag...

Jumping: Same but with no gloves and crop.

  6. Hairnet that matches hair

    tan/white riding pants

    gloves-black

    helmet-black

blue riding coat (blue or black)

    tall boots or chaps-black

crops look nicer than no crop, but if you don't need it then you don't need it.

make sure that if you are wearing tall socks that they aren't visable!!!!

remember to have fun and a clean horse!!!!

  7. black helmet

    black gloves

    feild riding boots

    black blazer

long or short polo shirt/ any color

    beige riding pants

I go to shows and thats what i wear all the time
