What to wear to a September, evening, beach wedding?

I have a wedding to attend in mid-September that's on a beach in CT. No indication of the dress code on the invite. It's my BF's friends, so I don't really have anyone to ask.

I would suggest a sundress with a sweater in case it gets cold.   Dress it up with some cute sandals (but not heels - they would be AWFUL on sand) and maybe a nice necklace and semi-dressy hairdo.

wear whatever you would wear to an inside wedding but don't forget a wrap of some sort.  It can start get chilly at Connecticut beaches  during September evenings.  Have a great time - I hope there's a great sunset for everyone to enjoy!

You need to find a dress that is in between a sun dress and a cocktail dress.  Something light and breezy in a silk chiffon would be nice.  No cotton if it's an evening affair.  Also, wear low heels or flats or you will be sinking into the sand all night long.  Be simple on the jewelry.  Sparkly is ok, but not too much.  Wear a wrap because it will probably get rather cool in the evening.

A nice summer dress should be fine or even a little black dress.  I'm not familiar with CT.  I know that in FL, September is still really hot so a summer dress would be appropriate.  Is it still hot in CT?

Ask your friend whom you are going with. My beach wedding on Maui was sort of informal...Everyone dressed in like Sunday best kind of thing...I LOVED it!! Your best bet is to ask your friend, she would probably know better. Of course, the wedding party was in tux and dresses and I was in a wedding gown=)...HOT as h**l...lol.

ask your friend she shoulf know... but I'm think something that's not that formal. Nice summer dress and of course a light sweater, nice strappy sandals, sand is hard to walk in....

if it's nice outside then u should wear a nice bright summer dress and if it is colder where something a little darker and warmer
