Question:

What to wear to go horseback riding?

On a whim I signed up for a horseback riding class tomorrow night after work. It's supposed to be in the 80's during the day. What should I wear for the ride? Do I need to wear long jeans, or will comfy gym clothes work? Long pants or shorts? Sneakers or work boots?

Please help so I don't look like a fool or get hurt!

  1. try eating dog food.

  2. Comfy jeans not too tight. YOu need to be able to move in them. Also boots are good or sneakers too.

  3. ok im 11 and i LIVE horseback riding and im sure you will love it too.

casual horseback riding in hot weather is long jeans, boots and a T-shirt

  4. definately bring boots, you will look like an eejit with just sneakers. you should really have riding boots but you should only buy them if you are really considering going further with horse riding.

you could wear khakis if jeans would be too warm for you. Wear long legged trousers.

(btw, when I say boots, I mean wellingtons, rubber ones)

  5. I would wear jeans and a t-shirt.

  6. Jeans or long pants, definitely, and good tennis shoes(they don't have to be new).

Work boot would be okay also.  A cute t-shirt will be fine - sun screen or you will fry. A hat(baseball hat is okay) would be good if that is your style.

  7. hmm.. if i were you.. i would wear...

    ...nothing.

  8. Jeans and tennis shoes.  You'll be happy to have them on if/when you fall off the horse!

  9. Uh'mm in this case: "Chaps rRr your friends !!  ha ha ha   Have fun !! Hope all goes smoothly !!  ;-D     r R r

  10. Wear jeans and if you have them wear tall boots. The metal stirups will rub the top of your foot while ridding, that's why cowboy boots where invented

  11. You'll need shoes with a bit of a heel (it keeps your foot in the stirrup), so hiking boots are great for that. Long jeans and a t-shirt should be fine. :)

  12. Wear pants for sure, so that the horse's sweat doesn't cause a rash on your legs. If I were you I'd wear boots over tennis shoes because there not as wide as tennis shoes and less likely to get caught in the stir ups.
