What to wear to graduation ceremony under gown?

Question

I was wondering if any girls could help with what to wear with under my graduating gown please?

I’ve brought a really nice top; it’s the shirt/jumper type that’s in all the shops. It’s basically like a tank top jumper with a shirt collar and sleeves all attached.

I keep reading that the weight of the gown would make a top ride up, do you think the top I have is ok or do you think it’ll ride up and that I do need a proper shirt?

wear a dress under your graduation gown.  I wore a dress.

Wore my panties and bra and that was all.  Simple.  They are hot as...well you know.

White shirt/blouse, Black or dark grey pants/skirt.

Remember, there will be photographs taken which, in future, won`t look dated if the apparel is plain.

I think that you should wear something that is a little more formal more party formal than work formal. Such as a black dress that way you wouldn't worry as much about your top riding up. Or you could buy a proper shirt and a jumper too, to put on top of the shirt.

Well, for my graduation, I wore a black skirt and a white blouse.  We were told that you need a button to attach the hood thing onto otherwise it doesnt sit properly.  Although I still found that the hood pulled my top up.  I think as long as your top has a button to attach the hood onto you will be fine, but you may find with any top it will ride up.

if u have to ask....then u shouldnt wear it because it seems like ur second guessing it.

im not saying "no"..but u must feel comfotable in what u wear

i wouldnt wear something very formal..maybe a simple dress or dress pants or skirt...but i would not wear a ball gown..u know?  :)

That should be fine, as long as it has buttons as the gown needs to attach onto buttons. I wore a similar thing and i didn't have any trouble with it riding up.
