What to wear to school with the hijab?

I'm a new muslim and I don't know what to wear to school this Wednesday with my hijab...ANY OUTFITS YOU CAN SUGGEST?

well i don't know whats in your closet but anything thats loose and covers everything is fine... I usually wear jeans and a long shirt to go along with it. I've also found that some of the dresses that are short are nicely adaptable in to a shirt with jeans for us.

Well, their is a lot you can wear. I like the store Shukr the best but I shop at the mall mostly. I wear normal westeran clothes bc I am still young and want to be stylish but I am modest and i wear hijab. I make sure my clothing is not tight, my shirts are always past my bum, etc. I would never wear a tight shirt or pants and I do not wear shoes that show my feet or toes and I do not wear flashy clothes or hijab.

Here is some outfits that I would wear myself:

1. jeans (not tight), short-sleeve shirt that is long, a stylish jacket over it zipped (that way it covers my arms but yet the short sleeve is long and covers my bum)

2. long denim skirt, long sleeve shirt or blouse

3. dress pants

well you get the point lol u can wear anything just make it modest bc nothing worse is a hijabie who wears tight, short, flashy or loose clothes.

my daughters both attend public school and wear the hijab.  They mostly wear jeans or other pants and long sleeve shirts that cover their backsides,  now these kinds of shirts are easily available.

just get some long sleeve shirts and long pants...

jc penneys n mervyns were great! but i still fit kids clothes....

also if u really lyk a short sleeve shirt...just wear a white or black regular long sleeve under it...

Wear something loose-fitting that covers your legs and arms (and chest, obviously). Other than that, just do your own thing. You'll eventually develop your own individual style. There are no hard and fast rules about what you have to wear with hijab. Look around you and you'll see women wearing all sorts of different outfits with hijab.

If you wear pants make sure they are loose, even around the calves.  Make sure everything is loose....  and kind of plain.  Simple is best.

Not only is simplicity classy, but it goes along with the philosophy of hijab :  we are not here to show off, be obssessed with fashion, our looks, etc. or to impress men or make others jealous of us.  You see?

Have you researched hijab on the net?  The sights that talk about it will give you a clear idea.  Hide your curves, no loud shoes or heals, etc.

i have a uniform but when i dont feel like dressin i put my baggy pants ppl are like pull ur pants up ur not a boy.. lol i dont wear hijab btw

While the longer blouses are in fashion, act fast. Buy them up like hotcakes. Even if they're short sleeved, you can layer them with long sleeves under it. I'd suggest modest jeans and a long-sleeved, long (length-wise), loose tunic type shirt with and shoes and hijab you like, although I'd stray from high-heels.

If you have ankle-length skirts, they could also go nicely with a long blouse and hijab - you have to be creative.
