Question:

What to wear to wedding while 9 months pregnant?

have a wedding next Saturday - 3 days after I am due. It is my closest friend getting married and I was originally a bridesmaid and my husband a groomsman- but we both stepped down as I was unsure how I would feel being this pregnant and if I would even be able to attend.

Now I need to find a nice dress and quick because it looks like I may make it after all, but I don't have a lot of money at all to spend on the dress. (babies are very expensive!)

Does anyone have any suggestions for something to wear? I am getting my hair and nails done with the bride and her bridesmaids the morning of the wedding, so I feel I really should be wearing something nice. But I look like a big swollen blimp and nothing looks good on me anymore and I don't have anything in my closest even close to wedding wear! Ideas?

(I asked this in the pregnancy section too b/c I wasn't quite sure where to put it) Thanks. :)

  1. i think everyone will understand that you wont be wearing a ball gown because you are so pregnant, go to your local maternity store and buy whatever you feel the best in.

  2. a hospital gown

  3. Look in your closet and pick out the dress that looks the best on you....or just pick a black dress...either way you can dress it up with a nice necklace and earring / your hair and nails will be done so you will be complete...Do not stress over this, you need to be comfortable

  4. If you have a JC Penney close by, this one could look nice:

Simple and still dressy enough to look good for a wedding.

    Plus - very affordable!

In that way, you can actually go to the store and try it on instead of trying to order something online last minute.

I'm sure Macy's will have a nice selection too.

  5. Wahtever you wear will look amazing I am sure!! You are far enough along that ppl will know you are pregnant, make sure it is something comfortable and cool, you don't want to wear anything constricting that may be hot in the hall or church!! Choose something in the brides color scheme if you can : )

  6. Something you're going to be comfortable in. Leave the tags on until the day of the wedding so that if you go into labor before the actual wedding you can return it.

A simple maternity shift will be lovely if you're getting your hair and makeup done.

  7. How about any dress you can find that fits? :-)

Check Motherhood's clearance section & look up a few consignment stores in your area, if you haven’t been shopping there already.

Even go to Craig's List. People sell maternity clothes on there all the time.

hope this helps! Congrats on your baby!
