What to wear under board shorts (need water compression pants, long underwear)?

Well, regardless of how i arrange, IT, (you men know what i am talking about) it is just out there when i'm at the beach or on my board. I've tried many ways to keep it tucked (profile-less) but it just draws unneeded attention. Sorry to be blunt. Never gotten "wood" at the beach so that is out of the question.

when i saw "the guardian" Ashton, they were all wearing some sort of legging underneath their shorts. i'd like to know what brand (if you know of any) makes them. One of my friends suggested biker spandex, but i dont think that will let the water run out fast enough. Anyone know of anything of the sorts? (need to be long, just short of my knees, you know)

thanks!!

  1. Why not just wear a speedo bikini or square front - either underneath your board shorts or instead of?  This is one of the reasons I don't wear board shorts, and plus they are hard to swim in (lap swimming) because they drag terribly.  If you are swimming, try the speedo only.  If for just hanging out, then try the speedo underneath your board shorts.  Lots of guys do this.  The good thing is that the speedo dries really quickly.  You could also get a swim jammer, but these are expensive and may be too tight.  Hope this helps.

  2. If you want something long, there are long swim pants that swimmers use for better times.  You could find them at a store that caters to swimmers or on-line at a swimmers gear site.  There are also long "rash guard" pants that divers/snorkelers wear sometimes.

  3. Boardies come unlined.  The situation you described is the exact reason I encourage other guys to wear a speedo/brief underneath it.  The brief is quick drying so it isn't uncomfortable and keeps everything in place.  If you are only wearing one under the board short and not for swimming competitively (i.e., you don't care what it looks like), order a grab bag brief from Speedo for $15 at www.speedousa.com.

  4. if you're looking for something like jammers or racing suits try

    www.speedousa.com

    or you can try

    www.swimoutlet.com

they have other swim gear there too. maybe you'll find what you're looking for. they have beach gear, swim gear, whatever you want related to water.

  5. you can get a speedo or a pair of jammers to wear under them. all of my guy friends that are swimmers just wear their jammers which look like a pair of compression shorts but are really for swimming. you can get them at :

    http://www.speedousa.com/index.cfm/fusea...

or you can look on discountswim.com for a cheaper pair once you know what you are looking for.

  6. I think what you are referring to are 'jammers'. Jammers are really tight shorts that many competitive swimmers, including myself, wear in order to swim quicker. This is probably not the cheapest pair you will find, but it will give you an idea of what to look for:

  7. Wear a swim jock. They are designed exactly for this purpose. You should be able to find online at a larger sporting goods store.

  9. wear a speedo .
