What to with a group that has been enter on your group page how do i get rid of it?

here's my crack at it-

were you added to a group and it now appears on your My Groups page??

go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the last column Leave group, check small box - click save changes

Please  explain .  If it's a  group that's part of your welcome message it must have been  entered there by the owner or a moderator.
