What to write in card to child at camp?

Am sending a note in the mail to a friends daughter who is at camp and wasn't sure what to write.

Say you miss her, some things going on at home (but don't make it sound super happy), and ask about her week. Hope I helped!

Send your well wishes and tell her how proud you are of her having such an adventure.  Let her know a few details of what's going on or if you did something/saw something that reminded you of her.  Send a little photo or a print out of a cute something from the internet.  Send it early because sometimes camp mail takes longer to get to her.  Any mail is good mail when you're away :)

It depends how close you are with this friend's daughter, but all kids love getting mail at camp.

I would say:

Dear Jenny,

I hope you're enjoying the swimming and canoeing at Camp Minnehawhaw. You mother and I went for dinner the other day and I had the clams. Yummy! I am looking forward to seeing you when you get back from camp and hearing all about the new friends you're making.

Have a great time and look out for the mosquitoes!

Here's a sample:

    Dear the childs name,

                Hope your having fun at camp we really miss you. we wish you could come home soon. Maybe ill come visit you sometime. Call me if you need me or need something. Keep your head up and be confident in what you do. Its been ok here but without you it isnt the same.

I would avoid "we miss you" type phrases in case she is homesick, I'd stick to letters that say hope you're having a great time like the excellent "Minniehawhaw" example above.
