What to write on a Plane letter?

My friends going out of town and we agreed to write plane letters to each other, but right now I'm drawing a blank of what to write about.... suggestions?

A Plane Letter:

Dear Friend,

You've always been my stabilizer, an attendant to my needs, who never gets flighty.  When I go 'wheels up' into that great yonder beyond--whatever my final ETD may be--I will go having known my route was enhanced by the connection I have made with you.

Though I'm plainly winging it in this note, I hope my concern for you is more obvious than the seatbelt usage instructions we've endured today.

Now, back to my rubber mini-chicken lunch.....
