What to write on a bar mitzvah card?

im making a card for my friend's bar mitzvah and i dont know what to write in it. im not jewish so dont tell me any hebrew words to write. and how much money do i give him. he is 13

    The number 18 is considered "lucky" because in Hebrew it spells "life", so $18 or $36 (2x18) are appropriate and thoughtful amounts of money.


  2. 'mazel tov' is good, and 'good job' works too.  as for money, you give what you can afford.  you're only 13, it's fine to give 10 or 20 dollars.  he will get enough from his family, trust me.  besides, it's not about the money, it's about you helping him celebrate his big day.
