What to write to contest for the ticket for expired safety inspection?

I got a parking ticket for the expired saftey inspection yesterday and I got the car inspected today. I was told by a police officer once that generally they waive off the charges if you get your car inspected immediately and contest for the ticket. I want to send all the documents and pix to contest( will not go to the court).

Can you help me in composing the letter. there is no record in my liscence. its very neat and clear.

Can you also tell me what all documents do I have to enclose

In most all states all you will have to do is go to court and show proof as in a receipt that the vehicle has been inspected and also bring proof of insurance as well, the ticket will be waived.

By "contest", he meant "in person".  The best you can do by mail (the only thing you can do by mail) is plead guilty.

That will not show up on your driving record. I would go to the R.M.V. and talk to the superviser, I would not waste my time writting a letter. If that does not do it for you then I would pay the ticket and forget it.

Pay the stinking ticket and move on. Next time, get your inspection on time.
