  1. There are many tools! There is the tiller, combine, planter, weeder and the old fashion way with elbow grease. Many times a farmer has to have two of everything. In case, one might break down.

this is a photo of old time farm equipment.. I guess your question really should say what kind of farming..

different tools on different kinds of farms right?

chicken farming?  hay? beef cattle? dairy? potato?

here is a link on cool things you should have if you are on ANY kind of farm..

  3. It depsnds on where you live and the type of farming.Where I live, there is subsistence farming. We use cutlass/ machete and bushwhackers as well as chain saws to prepare the land for crop or vegetable/fruit farming. For clearing large acreage, a tractor is needed. A plough and some other tools may be used by commercial farmers. Now, if you are a poultry, dairy,beef/cattle farmer, the tools may be more specific to your area.

  4. A hoe, and shovel can be used, for small hobby farming.

or horse drawn equipment, was used, and still is to some extent.

The big boys use large tractors with specialized implements, such as plows, seed drills, and combines, and sprayers.

    just to name a few.

it depends a lot on what kind of farming your doing.

  5. The best tool for farming was and still is a good farmer. If you don't have a farmer that knows what they are doing there is no point in having the farm.
