What topic should I do for my speech?

I need an intersting topic for my public speaking competition. All I can think about is "Aussies are obese." What intresting and distinct topic should I do? :]

what are you intrested in?  What are your hobbies?  Do something that would be fun to not only research but also inform others about.  Im in forensics and someone did a speech about memory.  I loved it!  It was so intresting.  I did a speech about roller coasters because i love riding roller coasters.  That speech went well too.

I did a speech on how Hate has affected the history of the world (Holocaust, 9/11). I got a standing ovation.

Maybe about the upcoming presidential election,  maybe about one of the candidates or both
