It depends on what type of engineer you want to become. Some classes are uniform across the board i.e. statics, statistics, mechanics, computer programming.

Other classes depend solely on your major Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace, Civil and Industrial all take classes in dynamics, thermo, strength of materials.

In the electrical and computer field: it's more like electrical circuits, logic design and especially programming
